A DIY Comic Workbook for Self-Discovery and Empowerment

The My Family Comic is an interactive publication designed to strengthen family bonds through creativity, storytelling, and shared reflection—especially for families navigating incarceration, separation, and reentry.

This guided comic experience helps children and caregivers create something deeply personal together. From the first days of school to favorite memories and everyday joys, families are invited to document their unique stories through drawing, writing, and imagination.

In the My Family Comic, there are no rules—only creativity and connection.

Kids explore emotions and experiences through DIY drawing prompts, storytelling pages, and reflection questions, while parents and caregivers participate using a companion, grown-up version. Together, families document shared memories, traditions, and hopes in comic form.
